I have a question. Can you take a 3rd gen 305 and put it into a 86 Firebird?

Re: Engine Swap

a small block chevy has the fuel pump boss on the passenger side, if you have an electric pump, the line may be on the wrong side, but it can be made to work

Re: Engine Swap

uhh, that would be passenger side boss for the mechanical fuel pump.

But yea, another 305 into a 3rd gen f-body is the simplest swap there is. Not really transmission related though is it?
