Tranny Cooling Lines

Hey,

Just have a quick question about the tranmission lines running to the radiator. I just replaced my radiator and I am going to add an auxillary cooler, my question is which tranny line runs to the radiator and which line runs out of the radiator?

Thanks

Chris

Hmm... I thought the top tranny line goes to the top of the rad and the bottom goes to the bottom of the rad, and as for sending and return does it really matter?

That's how they're set up. top to the tp of the rad adn bottom to the bottom of the rad...but I don't think there is a certain one for send and return.

Re: Tranny Cooling Lines

yes, if you are installing an aftermarket cooler with the factory onr, you need to have the proper line going to each.you want to make sure the fluid goes to the factory cooler before it goes to the aftermarket one. it will work much better this way.

Re: Tranny Cooling Lines

k, so i guess i could do it like this,

Top line to the rad,

The bottom fitting on the rad will have a hose going straight to the cooler, and then back to the tranny using the stock bottom line.

Re: Tranny Cooling Lines

bottom line of tranny to bottom of radiator-top of radiator to aftermarket cooler-aftermarket cooler to top tranny line.
