how is the b&m automatic shifter working for everyone?????????

 

junk it and get a hurst. waste'd too many tranny's because of the damn b&m shifter

 

had the megashifter for 3 or 4 years and love it. the shifter shouldn't effect the transmission if it is installed correctly.


B&M shift kits on the other hand.......

 

its not nessesarily the shifter themselfs. its more the shift cable. they got some give to em. at least back when i bought em. always had to adjust it. even in our race cars. destroyed one front end of our drag car because the shift cable, shifter was in park, brand new cable took crap and ended up bein in drive after a couple of runs through the gears.

 

they might have an updated design now. i adjusted mine initially and haven't looked back.

 

i also have had a B&M Megashifter for about 3 years now it took lots of tweakin and twistin but its been great ever since.

 

does it go down to 1st,2nd,drive,because i want one but me friends only goes as far as overdrive so i want on that goes all the way down to 1st

 

Had the same Megashifter since 89. Never had to adjust it once everything was set and never had a single problem.

 

yeah, it goes all the way to first. you have to bring it back to OD, release teh small t-handle, then ratchet it back to 1st.

 

I have the Megashifter and love it. Never had to touch it after initial setup.
