TCC lockup kits?

I am wondering how these kits actually work? i think if your running without the computer this is neccesary to retain the lockup on your 700R4 but then does it run off of vaccuum on your carb? gonna be running one of these setups in my own import killer!!! lol but not sure what the complete theory behind it is and how its supposed to run with a "holley or edelbrock" carb? just confuzed on how the tv cable works as well as vacuum to control the shifting? anyone up to the task to explain this???

Re: TCC lockup kits?

i wnet tpi to carb and lost my lock up. so what ever your converter is set at (2400 rpm stall) you will always be at or over that rpm while crusing. you will lose mpg and your trans will run slightly hotter, if you feel you need a lockup just install a lock up switch yourself. search the tec articles to find it. if your trans is too hot add a cooler

Re: TCC lockup kits?

no that is a diagram of the aldl connector under the steering wheel. there is another way to do it that works pretty good and makes it automatic. If you want to know how to do that lmk.
