i like richmond gears. lot of people say they make more noise than other gear sets, but that's what i like. slp had and maybe still does good prices on posi carriers. if it were me i'd most likely buy the cheapest carrier, since i'm figuering none of them are junk pieces.

I had a Richmond 3.42 gear in my 92 and had no problems, it was not any noiser than the stock gear either. It's all in the set-up.
As long as your set-up guy is good and very experienced you shouldn't have any problems.
Otherwise I would stick with GM gears.

One of the easiest and cheapest swaps is to get the SLP take-off torsen posi (you can use it because 1991 cars have 28 spline axles) for $100. Then head over to the www.camaroz28.com or www.ls1.com classified boards and look for someone selling their OEM 3.23 or 3.42 gears. They'll fit just fine, and wont cost a whole lot. Then find yourself a shop to install it for you (unless you have your own pinion setting kit). Lastly, you'll need to change the speedo gears in your trans to match your new rear end gears. I think that info is in the FAQ on this site. The shop who does the rear end install should be able to swap the speedo gears as well.

I've used most all the differentials available. My favorite by far is the powertrax. My reasoning is that it's the easiest to install and provides the best traction as well as being strong.

With that powertrax diff. was it worth the more expencive price that i comes with? And what kinda torque and power are you running on that 7.5 gear?
