Pics with 4th gen rearend and factory Z28 wheels

Im trying to decide if I am going to swap my rearend out for a 4th gen or just put a posi unit in mine, I would like to see some pics of cars with the factory thirdgen Z28 wheels and a 4th gen rearend to see if I will like the way it looks with it being wider in the rear.

Does it look funny from the the front, does it look like the rear wheels stick out alot farther than the fronts.

Re: Pics with 4th gen rearend and factory Z28 wheels

It really isn't bad, my 91 z28 vert has a 4th gen rear with stock rims. on my car, the outer edge of the tires are almost exactly in line with the outer edge of the lip on the quarter. It doesn't look funny. But I may go back to a thirdgen rear because I have 3.73's which is killing my mileage, if gas goes up like it did last summer i won't get to drive it much

How bad did it hurt your mileage, I am getting about 22mpg right now, but was going to swap to 4.10's in the 4th gen before it goes under my car.

Its amazing how often this question comes up & the same people post pics showing this. I guess the Search feature on TGO doesn't work, huh?

Re: Pics with 4th gen rearend and factory Z28 wheels

4.11's are way too steep for driving on the road. try 3.73 or 3.42
