governor ?'s

ive got a 700r out of an 89 p/u. should i redo the governor or leave it as is?

Well,,, you could pop the cover off and check it's gear. If you are replacing another 700 with this one I would use the governor that came with the vehicle that the trans is going into. If none of these apply to what you are doing just install the trans and see what happens, part throttle shifts and WOT shifts at the wrong time can either be the governor calibration or the t.v. cable adjustment/pull rate.
