car spins tire when backing up....
i don't know if this is the right board or not.....but i am having some troubles with my 1985 T/A. the problem is that when you shift into reverse, it will act like the brakes are locked and spins the passenger tire....it has a T5 manual and a 3.73 gears with disc brakes......any help will be greatly apprecated

Hint.....Less pressure on the pedal, from the right foot!

could be a combination of that and the passenger side rear brake caliper not working

bad thing about it....when it finally pulls back.....its sounds like it is draging the front tires.....

check the calipers and make sure theyre not locked upfront. check all the pads. make sure the rear calipers are working. check brake fluid level and color. bleed brakes if anything.
is it the stock rear? did it always have discs? if not, you could have the wrong proportioning valve.

I agree,sounds like you might have a locked up brake. Might need, like said above, plus maybe need hoses. they sometimes break apart internally and you can't see it.
jack up your car, all four tires off ground, and leave in neutral, spin by hand....they should spin easy. If they all do, go push down on brake and then get out and quickly re-check them. Might only be sticking for a little bit.

found out that the drivers side brake would lock up and very slowly bleeds off....ty for the help everyone
