What keeps the clutch fork in blase with the bearing?

So I am at the point of my install that I have another question. The bellhousing and all have been put on. On the clutch fork where the pivot ball sits there are two small hooks. Do those go underneath the pivot ball or what? What holds the fork in place while I slide the transmission in? I'm confused.

Re: What keeps the clutch fork in blase with the bearing?

I've seen that before but it doesn't answer my question. I see from the thread https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/tran...y-t5-swap.html that he hasn't yet installed the clutch slave cylinder and somehow the fork is sitting in there all nice. I thought it would have been the pressure from the cylinder keeping pressure on it but that isn't the case. I'm still stumped.

There should be a clip on the fork, when it's on correctly it simply snaps in place over the ball stud.

Well the guy I bought this from never had the boot either. So the two prongs on the back of the clutch fork stay on top of the pivot pin and then I should be good? I thought they slide under?
