Re: 92 t-5 into 86 iroc auto
you will need the T5, clutch pedal assm. master Cyl
re- work your neutral safety switch. purchase a real shifter, install a roller pilot bearing,
get a new through out bearing ( DO NOT buy this from Auto ZONE it's half plastic )
new clutch, fly wheel.. measure and cut your floor.. get a poly trans mount same as the AUTO.. cross member is the same you will need the bracket for the master Cyl
and a manual center console.... fill the T5 up with trans fluid 3 QTs or so

I'm assuming that you are going from 700r4 to T5, years are not important. By "real shifter" he mean's "not stock" Neutral switch is the switch that allows you to start your car, park or neutral. That needs to be bypassed so you can start at anytime, or wired into the clutch switch. The roller pilot bearing is what the snout of the input shaft rides on. It's installed into the back of your crank. There is a solid brass type and a roller type. I myself prefer the roller too.

lol, I do have one, but didn't want to let go of the console parting out the car. My best bet would be Fbodymotorsports.com, Hawks Third Gen or Year One maybe

Re: 92 t-5 into 86 iroc auto
Not sure if it was clear above but the flywheel from the 92 won't work. The swap isn't too bad of a project and can be done in a weekend. One tip is to make a cardboard pattern of the firewall from the donor car using the steering console as a reference point. This makes cutting the firewall a simple process for the location of the clutch cylinder.
