Re: auto to manual
I know that www.hawksthirdgenparts.com has a T5 transmission kit that cost $1200. Thats a pretty good price concidering it comes with everything you need to make the swap. I've been planning to do this myself and from what I have read, it dosen't seem to difficult. It just takes good bit of man hours, and having all the right parts.

I just did an T56 swap only real work was making the trans cross-member and cutting the hole in the floor, every thing just bolted in.

Re: auto to manual
well i read the tech article on doing a t5 swap...sounds like the hardest part would be hanging the pedals. but im still confused, if im reading it right it says you need to get a new brake booster and master cylinder ?

Re: auto to manual
no you dont need a new brake booster or MC...you have to take them off the car though to remove the automatic brake pedal and install the manual brake pedal and clutch. it was the biggest pain in the hole project becuase the nuts are hard to get to.

before you put the new pedals on you need to make a whole for the clutch hydraulics...on mine all i had to do was look under the dash you can see exactly where it is supposed to go, its already cut out of the insulation on the firewall. thats where the hole goes.

hang pedals, hook them up and put everything back together

the booster and master cylinder are the same,,but a must is to change the proportion valve...if you had disc-drums...the prop valve is not the same...you need a disc - disc prop valve to give the rear the right brake pressure,,,the rest is pretty simple.

Re: auto to manual
thats where the master cylinder will go through the fire wall...the pedals bolt to the studs on the brake booster(studs go through firewall to inside under dash)

id take you some pics but car is currently not at my house
