Ok so i am in the process of installing a Liberty Geared Tko 600 into my 85 Ta. They sent me a Quick time bell housing that does not have provision for an external slave pt number rm-6021. I have called liberty, qucktime, and D&d trans with no real info. Only ifs and a mabe. I got a part number from Quicktime which is a rm-6018 that has provision for the external slave but it is clocked at 23 deg. whats the fix???? would appreciate any answers. Thanks.
the angle should be more like 18degrees i think. thats how the stock t5 is mounted. FortesPartsconnection sells a adapter plate to mount the TKO straight up to a stock style bell with the angled pattern, but i believe it also requires the longer input shaft that he offers.
you could use a hydraulic TO bearing setup i suppose

If the 600 is not canted like a T5, you don't want the rm-6018.
Any reason the Lakewood 15020 won't work?

I will call lakewood on that part number tomorrow. I spoke with mike at Fortes and he is going to put together an external mount bracket/slave set up tomorrow morning. He really seems to know his stuff.

Looks like the 6021 qt bellhousing is not going to work at all. the starter hole is way off on the backing plate as well as the housing it self. I am calling lakewood today. Their bellhousing looks like money.

im using a prothane poly mount, with a UMI 700r4/t5 crossmember with 3/8" aluminum spacers packing it down off the subframe.
Its the spohn crossmember for their adjustable torque arm. It is double wall so i drilled it out and bolted it from the inside.
Ok so the trans is in and the car is off the lift. it looks like i am going to have to get a new shifter arm as the one that came with the shifter is now in the upper right hand corner of the shift hole. I have searched for pics with no luck. has any one done one on a pro 50 shifter. also what shift boot are the using?
im using a steeda tri-ax, but you have to extend the handle about 1".
great shifter
great shifter
any pics?
