What diff cover to get?

I trying to buy new differential cover, 10 bolt. I already bought one from the local shop but it turned out to be too big. As I was looking thru ebay I can see some cover are for 82-92 camaros with 7.5" ring gear and some are for 82-92 camaros with 8.5" ring gear. How I can determine which one have I got, and what cover should I get?
The car is 1991 Z28 with posi traction.

Here is the pic of the diff without the cover

Thanks for your answers.

No OE thirdgen was equipped with anything but a 7.5 or 7.6.

Summit sells an alum cover:

Either the Summit cover or the L.P.W. cover at Jegs Performance would be a good choice.= http://www.jegs.com/i/L.P.W./619/301-7.5G/10002/-1
I have the L.P.W.cover and it most definitely is a quality piece. Here's a link to there home page. = http://www.lpwracing.com/

Re: What diff cover to get?

Thanks for your answers guys. That was what I thought... that 3rd gens had only 7.5" or 7.6" gear ring...
But I keep seeing auctions like those:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/10-Bo...Q5fAccessories

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/DIFFE...Q5fAccessories

where sellers states that the cover are for 82-92 camaros with 8.5" ring gears, why is that?

Re: What diff cover to get?

I think there was an 8.5 made for these cars. I could be wrong though.

Ah, the Dana 44 (8.5). A search will tell you more about the Dana, but it's about as scarce as hen's teeth. And, IIRC, was never installed from the factory.
