89 formula tranny mount (how hard to fix?)
Hey im in contact with a guy that i might buy his 89 Formula however the transmission mount is busted. I was wondering how hard it is to change out.
I read the instructions on the site just curious how much work it would be. Also if i were to leave it alone for now, how much trouble does it cause to the car.
This would be my first 3rd gen car. Thanks.

get a 1 foot section of 2x4 wood and also a floor jack
go underneath car
remove the one nut holding the tranny mount. It's on the cross member
place wood onto jack and jack up tranny by aligning the wood with the tranny pan. Lift it about 1 inch. To make it easier, remove the 4 bolts holding the crossmember
remove nuts holding tranny mount
reverse process
oh, tighten the tranny pan bolts or better yet, once you get the mount and crossmember back on, drain the tranny and change the filter/fluid

well i joined back in 2004 because my girlfriend at the time had a 89 Rally Sport. i posted once awhile ago. I mostly read things not posting but now with this new purchase ill probably be around more.
And i was going to replace it just wasnt sure if this caused some horrible trouble down the road if it wasnt done right away, i have to drive it back home and whatknot.
