Alot easier to get em at a REAL parts store...
Not sure I know anything about this "tapered" though; only been doing this about 40 years or so though, I'm kinda inexperienced, maybe that's something new?

Not under a buck a piece at your local store like "they should be" but there you go.
Obviously, you'll save time by just tapping for a thread-in plug.

I've found that if hitting it with a hammer doesn't work, weld it.

the one on ebay is like 10.00 dollars with s/h for one 5/16 i think ill get a 3/8 tap and set screw for reverse feed behind pump and probably block 2-3 accumalator on plate anybody know how to change th350 pump bushing backwoods style

Alternately, a piece of iron pipe machined down makes a nice cheap bushings driver.
It's guaranteed to go in easier than any F-body T56 tailhousing bushing.
