Alright. I have done a rear swap. Changed from 373's to 323's. I have figured out that I need a green 42 tooth gear. I can't find anyone that carries it. Is there some place that I can get this thing quick? I am not liking my speedo being off by 10 mph, and since my lock up is supposed to be at 60, it isn't locking up till i hit 70 now.

Ya, TCI doesn't have any, as they are discontinued. Checked with Summit, Jegs, and Dacco, all discontinued.

I went to the salvage yard and started pulling off the speedo sensor's on the 3rd gens, and they are all the wrong colors so far.

Wow, Thank you. But believe it or not, they are out of stock as well. The way things are going, once I get the right gear, I am going to buy one of each for possible future use. As if I change tire size in the future, I may not be able to get a gear for it. This is nuts that no one has this gear.

Are the gears in a 4th gen the same?

 

Well, I finally found one. One of the local Chevy dealers was able to locate one and order it for me. I just could not believe that everyone is selling out of this one. This dealer stated that the place they found it only has 1 more left after my order. Then they will not be carrying it anymore as well. Kinda makes me want to go and buy one of each color so if I ever change tire size, I have one that will work.
