Well, it is damn old news now...

But for any of you DIY builders...
ATRA and Cliff, produced one of the few fully-detailed and Color-photographed basic-rebuild manuals available!

Perfect for a stock rebuild!!!
I recommend downloading a copy, or owning a physical copy!

For anyone of you guys, that come across this thread and are looking for help/ information...
I am a former Hydra-Matic/ General Motors Power-Train Engineer, and I was on the 4L80E team.

I left GM in 2009, during the financial crisis... and started my own company/ Power-Train business.
For the last 10+ years, I have been designing and building custom complete GM Power-Train solutions for race vehicles in the 1,000 - 3,500 HP range.

If anyone has questions for their 4L80E build... shoot me a PM, or start a 4L80E Thread.

I don't stand to gain anything from this but if you are looking to rebuild a trans and you have not done it before and you believe your trans was built by humans (I had a girlfriend that was not sure) then look on the tube for transmission bench videos. Not all trans are there but if yours is it's an easy way to learn for not too much $.

Brining this back from the dead, do any of you folks by chance have a copy of the 4l80e manual mentioned in this thread years ago? The links are all dead that I’ve tried. I’m going to tackle my first 4l80 rebuild and the more info I have the better.
