T5 VSS electric speedo driven gears

Hey guys, I'm looking to swap a t5 into my 91 bird soon, and the car has an electric VSS stock. I have 3.45 gears so that means (correct me if I'm wrong) I'll need the 20 tooth driven gear. I can easily find gears for the mechanical speedometers but I have no idea where to look to find the electronic driven gears (or part numbers at the very least). None of the stickies here are helping and neither are the searches. Any leads would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have made them from two good gears. Might have a 19 and a 22 in my parts. Will check.

Thanks but after doing some research, I'm going to need the 20 tooth driven gear. My T5 already has a 22 tooth (came out of a car that had a 3.73 rear end).

Honestly, on second thought, that 19 tooth that you may have ought to suffice. That's for a 3.42 rear end and it should be close enough. Let me know if you have it and how much, thanks!

Re: T5 VSS electric speedo driven gears

I got a 92 camaro pulled out 700r4 and put t5 in it. Had cable driven speed sensor. Pulled rhat out and found a electronic speed sensor out of a 92 v6 and it fit in my t5 and the teeth on the electronic sleed sensor is 18 teeth. Dont know if speedo will work or not. Havent put trans in car yet

The teeth count on both gears has to be the same as what you had in the T700 for your speedo to be accurate

Re: T5 VSS electric speedo driven gears

Not sure what the teeth count was in the 700r4. But I took the gear off the cable driven speed sensor and put it on the electric speed sensor so I know the teeth are the same for the t5.. but not sure if they match the 700r4 teeth count. Are there different teeth count for the 700r4 or were they all the same?
