This leak has baffled me beyond belief. No matter what I've done(replacing seals, gaskets etc.) It's still draining any and all fluid and causing problems to where it's now sitting in the driveway until I can resolve it. It's all stock and the same trans from the day it rolled off the factory floor.
If the o-ring seal about the outer diameter of the VSS has been replaced and you're convinced it's leaking at the VSS, maybe it's leaking internally to the outside of it.

Might try a good epoxy in that case.
I'll take your suggestion and apply it. I completely forgot about the o-ring and will be replacing it. If it still leaks or anything, I'll epoxy it until I can afford to drop a new transmission in her.
Remove the wire connector and look closely at it. If there is fluid in the connector the sensor is leaking thru it's connector and will need replacing.
I'll be going to the dealer tomorrow to get the o-ring. Whats the easiest way of removing and replacing it without taking to many things off the car or inevitably dropping the trans?
Undo the one bolt and pull the sensor straight out. Might take a little wiggling though. Put the rear of the car on jack stands to slightly raise it and that should keep most of the fluid up front toward the pan. I hardly lost any when I replaced mine. Good Luck.
Oh, and watch out for the gear behind the speed sensor. It might come out as well, but no biggy, just put it back in the way it came out.
