Why doesn't my speedometer work?? I put a new speedometer cable on and it didn't fix the problem.

 

Check the gear in the transmission. On the tailshaft on the drivers side there is a plate that you remove with two bolts and you can look in there at your gears. A gear may be stripped or the clip the holds the gear in place may have brocken.

 

yea i had just put another engine in my car, we put a new water pump in and ever since we did that, my belts squeal when you go on the gas.they almost jump up and down. and now my uncle used a timing gun and my timing was anywhere from 18-20, It's supposed to be from 10-12.
