A "beauty mod"

I was bored one day and decided to paint my intake/T/B and Strut Bar. I also had a 3 can set of that "Chamelaon paint" laying around and decided what the hell try it out.

WOW... just WOW... Paint has not melted, bubbled, defected in any way. The only thing that has happened is that the Strut bar has rubbed the hood lining a little and needs to be wire wooled a little.

Another sistuation.. my damn clutch finally decided to go... ordered from summit, of course I spend the day getting the trans out, and ready to install it... WRONG DAMN CLUTCH.... Called them , sorry we do not have one in stock and it is back ordered till next milienium... Called Jegs... They have it, More then I really want to pay but hell what can ya do right?... Centerforce dual friction.

The heat from the calipers will melt the paint.

How high does the temperature resistance need to be for the brake calipers?

A tip on brake calipers, if you have a western auto near you, re-maned ones are only 9.99 each.

any high temp engine paint or exhaust paint will work on the calipers. They have many colors out now.

Cool to hear that 3-stage paint works as advertised!

www.eastwoodcompany.com has some new caliper colors out too; they're sharp looking, but they're expensive per can!
