I'll take a risk & assume you mean throttle body injection (TBI) . to the best of my knowledge, no.

what do you have in mind?

putting a 3.4L camaro motor in the spot where the 2.8L is in my s10. the 3.4L that works is out of model year 93-95 camaro that did not come with a TBI, they came with MPFI i think.

-use my intake
-use my 2.8L TBI
-use 4.3L injectors b/c the 2.8L injectors do not allow fo enough flow at highway speed and make the engine run lean on the highway
- i want to bore out the diameter of the extra TBI i have to make it more suitable for the 4.3L injectors but not quite sure how much larger to make them

i was wondering if that 3.4L engine ever came with a TBI setup, otherwise I guess I will just bore it out to somewhere between the diameter of the 2.8L TBI and the larger 4.3L/V8 TBI?

I'd just bolt up everything on there... but you'll need to know what flow those TBI 2.8 injectors are, and then get injectors that are about 22% larger. Is the 2.8 TBI a single injector? or multiples? Either way, just get injectors 22% larger, and put them in.

Everything else, bolt up, and there you go.

the 2.8 & 4.3 may have the same TBI assemblies. Get with Karl aka KED85. He's doing the 3.4 swap into his S10/Blazer.

Didn't GM COMPLETELY do away with the MAF once they got rid of it in 3rd gens? I've never heard of a newer car using an MAF anyways...all MAP systems..

By the way, Slowmaro..your engine may be bigger... Your car may be faster... BUT MY TIPS ARE BIGGER!!! (3 1/4 in.)

Nope.. they got rid of MAF in 1990 then went back to it.

Slowmaro95 -- I can only guess that GM went back to MAF in 1993. That is based on the fact that my wife's 93 Buick has a MAF sensor.

Hmm..strange. I personally don't care for MAF setups..too much of a pain in the butt doing custom cold air...MAP is better for that, but I suppose the MAF has advantages too, or else they wouldn't have gone back to it.....

Damn Nix. You got me hands down . I didn't wanna go too big, after all for the first 6 months the car sounded like and import. I hated it, I used the excuse "i'm hungry so i making popcorn in the muffler!" Although us having 3" and bigger exaust is that the old potato or fruit in the tailpipe gage doesn't work here . I had gone to my Pontiac dealership i used to work at and my buds in parts only saw MAP sensor so maybe GM couldn't make up their minds. But the computer also said that a 3800 series had a MAF, i'll have to consult my hookups. Thanx for the input guys, much helpful!

ALL of Buick's EFI 3.8's have used a MAF sensor....from the early eighties up to 2003. When GM trucks switched from TBI to CPFI and PFI they've used MAF sensors, 1996-2003. Plus plenty of other motors still use MAF.

Nope, '95 used a MAP sensor. I only know about '95 because I own a '95 3.4.

How do you figure?? BTW, Some late eighties FWD 2.8's originally were MAF, but GM issued a bulletin to switch the vehicles to MAP. The old MAF sensors were never removed so essentially they have both MAF and MAP but the PROM is changed to ignore the MAF.

Slowmaro, I wanted to run 4" tips..but the exhaust system is 2 1/2" and I couldn't find anything that went from a 2 1/2" to a 4"...biggest I could get was the Edelbrock 3 1/4" chrome intercooled tips, which is what I'm running now... Those suckers are EXPENSIVE though.......
