First Time To Track!
Didn't fair so well. I thought It would run much better. I'm still limited to 14psi, till I can gut the cat. It ran a 13.5@108mph with a 2.35 60'. LS1's were running 13.1? @105-106mph. No boost off the launch. It comes into boost about the 60' mark then it's 14 all the way. It has the mph for mid 12's with a good hook. We'll see next weekend. Mods are in my sig!!!

I was at Englishtown,NJ. The LS1's were new 02's. 1 with a lid and catback the other i raced had just a lid(caught him at the lights). There was another 02 T/A with headers,descreened maf,and a catback(it ran 13.1 and 12.9 @107mph.

yeah you have the trap speed for 12's EASILY, get some traction(2.3 60' time is terrible
) and get the boost up a bit an just riiiiiide
nice

Just a moronic question from a non-turbo guy; why are you limited to 14 psi until the cat is gutted? Will that cat overheat or something? Trending Topics

Pete, the more I look at your mods the more something makes me think something isn't right. You should be pulling a bit more on the top end as far as trap speed...try messing with the T+ settings, that's what they are there for
Also wire up a switch for the TC lockup...its usually nets a .2 and 2MPH gain, AND GET SOME STICKY TIRES! lol

Ya gotta spool that sucker up more to get boost of the line. You seem to be suffering from a major turbo lag problem.
and definitly invest in some track tires so you actually hook. thats the f bodies biggest downfall its like to burn rubber like tires are goin outta style:rockon:

With a 44 and my current mods I should think I could trap 112mph with about 18psi. As far as the exhaust if there is a bottle neck in the system the back pressure will keep from letting the turbo spool to it's potential. Traction isn't the problem here power is.
I can get it to spool on the line it just takes many rpm's to do it,then i just push through the lights at that point. As I said I think it is the exhaust because I'm only going through the 1/8 at 80mph at the lights I'm at 108mph. Gaining 28 mph on the top end tells me that it is being suffocated down low till I get enough rpm's to overcome the restriction.
At that point it will only push 14 psi so the restriction(if that is it) still is the weak point. My theory is the 44 pushes more air than the stocker making the bottle neck that much worse. I may have an exhaust leak that rear it's ugly head until boost comes in also. Or blowby. Before Fri.(next time at track) I will open the cutout and see if I can get the boost up to normal. As for lag(turbo v/s converter size) I dont think that is a major problem the 44 can be used with the stock converter we'll see this week.
Hey Fly 89 have you brought your car to the track yet?
Thanx for the replies.

I keep forgeting that you have a TTA. The rest of us will never see a time like that with a 60 degree V6 in a thirdgen. 13's sounds fast to me. I would be more than happy if I could get my car to run in the 15's. My goal is to get a 15.999 at least.
