Cam Question

I was looking through the Summit and Jegs catalog at the Crane cams last night and noticed that they give two different specs for the same cam. Jegs is giving adv. duration 264*/274* and gross lift .423"/.423. Where as Summit is giving 204*/214* and gross .423"/.423". Those of you who have the cam which Duration numbers are right?

I have also been thinking about going to the Edelbrock intake for my Camaro and they make a cam that the Duration is 204*/214* and the lift is .420/.442.

Which cam do you all think would be best the Crane or the Edelbrock?

there are 7 different cams made by crane for the 60* v6.. http://www.cranecams.com/master/apps/chevy1.htm

ive heard that the edelbrock cam/intake together is better than a edelbrock intake/crane cam setup, but i dont know for sure on that...

I can't see how changing the waterpump, and the cam are even in the same league.
I change my waterpump in like 30 minutes or so, the cam is going to take a day.
If you were changing your timing chain, then changing the cam would go hand in hand.

i recomend the wolverine blue racer camshaft. i have that im my bird. works great. terrific power increase. the specs are 204, 214 duration and .420, .443 lift. its beefier than the comp cam.

That is what I figure. That edelbrock would make there compents so they work better together.
