Bad O2 Sensor to begin. Check for codes too, could tell you a lot if there are any. Something that was giving me really bad mileage for a while was a cracked exhuast valve. i was wasting an entire cylinder's worth of gas evey time the engine came around. Bad air filter ruins milage too. Misadjusted TPS and or bad ignition components can do it too. I'm sure others will follow with more info, but that's all i can come up with right now...kinda sleepy.

Give us a FULL list of what has been done. Otherwise there will be 50 posts of people saying "did you change this?" and another 50 posts saying "Yes, we changed that"

LOL! Hey can I attach a trumpet file to my tuneup list?

AJM, most mileage and power problems are related to basic tuneup parts. Guys come in here (and on the tech board) all the time, wondering why their car is so slow, because they've put on an exhaust and a K&N air filter. Of course, they forgot about doing everything else.

Here's the last posting of the tuneup: https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=162251

Check for broken exhaust manifold bolts. Check for any exhaust leaks prior to the O2 sensor. Check the injectors, both the resistance and for leakage. Check fuel press reg vac line for fuel. Check timing is set correctly, plug wire firing order. Pull the plugs, what do they look like?

I'd check the 02 wiring and possibly have your injectors cleaned. Easiest way to do that is buy a spare set from a junkyard and send them to Rick or Rich (can't remember) at cruzinperformance

Resistance should be between 12 and 16 ohms each.
