I feel wrong in asking ...but....
I feel like a traitor in asking this question but is it harder to work on V8 engines than on a V6. One of the things I love about my car is the easy access to work in the engine. I just saw a bad *** 1992 Z28 for sale cheap and it's in mint condition.

There's two more cylinders; that's about as hard as I think it gets.
It'll all be worth it, trust me! I remember doing a major tuneup on a guy's '91 Formula- you should've seen his distributor cap; completely shot!- and I had to get at the two back right plugs from underneath the car.

Olds 307 new?
I had an 87 Regal. last year RWD model. find yourself one, also check the Cutlass's.stare in awe of the 450 myards of vacuum tubing & 78 check valves. not to metion the smog pump & everything else that covers up the engine.

from doing a few things on my friend's old trans am, i'd say it's not thst much tougher to work on a v8 car. i had some trouble getting to the back plugs, that's about it tho.
it's not the smog crap that gets you on new cars, it's the fwd. lets stick one bank against the firewall so you can't get to half the plugs. my grand prix was a nightmare from a tuneup standpoint!

DSaint, take your valve covers off a MPFI V6 and do the same on a V8 TPI- the V8 is much easier to work on. New cars with smog crap are a pain in the @ss period ( maybe its just Calif. cars- You guys may not have to experience as much crap on the motors that we do on new vehicles.)
