CAI/ ram air question
wouldnt the ram air design (cut the bottoms of the air boxes off and route ducting to the fog light housings) have the same effect as the CAI setup? its taking in cold air right? and actually, it should be more effective since it has air forced into it, not just sucked in at manifold vacuum. just something i was pondering while sitting in my economics class, instead of paying attention.

Thats why I have the tpi intake on mine
Some state that the heat rising off the radiator warms the air up coming in.
Personally, I rather take that chance the sucking in strait hot engine bay air.
I belive SLP or some company above makes a bottom attchment that ducts air coming from the grill and "raming" it upward.

Only difference in making your own set up is that you can limit the turns and bends. The straighter shot the better. Factory is always clunky and angular. Just smoothing out the routing would help alot. The bends cause turbulance and restrictions

redraif, can you post a pic of your ram-air box on your car. I'm about done with my engine swap, and wanting to do a quite radical air intake on it eventually.
