I used a few inches of 3" muffler pipe. Quite heavy. Some muffler shops carry aluminum pipe. Or buy one of them cheap euro intakes, and hack it up.

you could go to lowe's and get some ductwork (like a reducer pipe) or something, that would be relatively inexpensive.

ive asked this a few times and never get a answer, other than that the tube for the 305 tpi intake is short than the one for the 2.8/3.1 intakes...what is the other differance? they look the same to me

The one on the tpi is shorter, it is also too elipsed at the other end for the fact the TBI is dual 48mm, where ours is single 52mm.

And that's why there's the problem, F-bodeee... need some pipe to fill the gap.
Xceleratemaro, that's the same hose that I used for my cold air intake! Cool; didn't know anyone else found those. I like the metal coil inside the hose; keeps it from collapsing. (And that's important when the hose goes inside the inner fender on the driver's side!)

The TPI engine has two 48mm holes side buy side like .... oo........, the v6 has one slightly larger hole like....O....... that.
When two of them are side buy side, it is very wide, and the hose diameter is almost 4", where ours would fit a 3".
