NO!! DO NOT CHANGE YOUR LIFTERS AND NOT CHANGE THE CAM!

Your lifters have a wear pattern after wearing on the cam for the last 100k(or so) miles. If you put new, fresh lifters on a worn cam, you will eat the cam, and end up replacing the cam, and lifters (again!)

Not much. A tad more lift, and a tad more duration, with a good decrease in rotational friction.... a couple horses freed, I'm sure. The engine will be much more rev happy, too!

Another thing... kill the caps man. That's = shouting on the 'net.

if you wanted to replace the rockers or cam, you should just replace the whole valvetrain. (springs, rockers, lifters, pushrods, camshaft)

If you dont replace all of the parts at the same time with new ones, they wear alot faster, and you would end up just having to replace them again pretty soon.

You could probably reuse your old valvesprings if you wanted, but it would probably start floating valves at like 4000rpm. (depending on which cam you get.)

well i didnt think that just throwing on rockers, (1.6, full roller tip) would screw anything up like that, i mean, they dont lay on anything or cause wear like the lifters to the cam shaft....cept the push rods i guess..... i would like to put the rockers in, (fairly simple) to take some of the miles off my moter, lighting things up a bit would only help. but thats just what i was thinking about,

Get the 1.6s, full roller rockers. Use those Crane valve springs, and you're good to go.
