Is the air dam in place underneath the front bumper? Is it undamaged? Our cars scoop up air from underneath the car to cool the radiator, if the air dam's missing, you'll be overheating all the time.

Take a piece of drip edge. Stomp it flat. Cut it to size and use a few wood screws and the air dam is fixed really easy and cheap. WIth my AC crap removed and my home made air dam. My fan never comes on anymore [ I actualy have it switched now so it never runs] and actualy my car run to cool. in the 150-170 range. Can't even get into proper temp ranges.

Having a true ram air may be helping me though.

Matt

Ill snap some pics later.

it on. {my one true hopity repair} ]

<BR>[This is about as hot as it gets. With out the air dam its not much higher as the fan must run all the time. Ill take a temp or two lower and keep the fan off.]

What about the side deflectors on the left and right of the air dam?

I have my air dam but both side deflectors have fallen off due to my driveway.

No were talking airdam here, just my cooler than normal temps could be related to my car only get air from out side. I know when I got a hole in my flex hosing when the car seams to not run as well. That hot underhood air sucks in a bad way.

I have no idea about side skirts but they may be part of it. I noticed a big drop in temps once I removed the AC radiator though.

You might wanna do a good flush and fill with some good fluid. I like to pre mixed stuff. That royal purpel addtive for the coolant will drop the temps even more. a new fan motor maybe it spins fine but doesn't have the umph when moving. Brushes do wear out in motors drills are the same way, they stil spin but get weaker and weaker over time, no umph. The old fan clutches did that as it seamed to work until you got moving.
