I have a 2.8 85 camaro at 3/4 throttle the car will start to miss. I have changed the distr cap and button, new wires, new coil, new control module, and the plug are less than a month old and they are bosch platinums, and I check my fuel pressure and it was 38psi. the problem started when I was at a red and it turned green and the civic next to me took off so I down shift to 1st and floored it and the rpms went up to the shift point and then it started to miss. I have a (at) transmission and it was just rebuilt about 3 months ago. if you have any suggestions please reply I am about to shoot my car.

What's the shift point?

Also, does it miss in neutral, if you hold it at like 4500 rpm+?

Mine did that.. turned out the be the coil... but yours is new.

I'd check the injectors.

Try the plugs anyways. they could easily foul and still look nice, if other parts were failing. I have solved several money pit problems with some plugs n wires. 2nd n 3rd gens eat good ign parts like candy.

Yep when mine had problems it owuld rev fine and then get pissed about 2500-3500 and then smooth out. I spent many week and money to do a simple plug n wire change. Even though it wasnt time.

ANy plug is good new. I like accel u groves myself, but a bit pricy. Good ol AC Delco work too.

well I change the plugs today and they weren't bad but I change them anyways to see if they were the problem. I put new autolites in and they didn't fix the problem! So if anyone else has any suggestion please post them!

Mine is essentially doing the same thing right now. I went on a rather long cruise yesterday and started to notice it near the end. Looks like I have that to look forward to.
