one on the left goes to the alternator. Other end I think goes around belt tensioner or something. The "L" on it shields/lays against radiator hose.

One on right I'm not sure

Painted or polished is up to you. Dupli color makes a good "aluminum" color that when misted on is very hard to tell difference

Media blast...

I'd say Media Blast that upper plenum... and shoot w/ Clear high-temp heat paint... for that oh-so shiny aluminum look !

Can't help ya' w/ the brackets/pieces parts.

Im with Dale

He's right about the brackets (I also have no friggin clue about the other one). As for the plenum, You can't go wrong painting it to match the car (unless you have a white car, ewww). Polising is a long process, you could better spend the time porting. Check out my link, I painted mine, it turned out pretty good.

I'm working off a tired memory right now...3ish in the morning? But I think that the one on the right is for either the egr or else the coil. Could be wrong, been stuck working with a single cylinder engine for the past 11 hours.

left, see attachment.

After thinking, the bracket on the right looks VERY smiler to that on a 3.4 that holds the purge canister control valve to the intake.

I believe I may know what the bracket on the right is but the
photo is throwing me off a bit if I'm mistaken. It is used to mount
or brace the 2 vacuum lines coming from the TB/smog set up that
get connected over to the purge cannistor. The bracket is
mounted onto the drivers side valve cover. Note the attached photo:

I once tried to polish my plenum, for about 2 minutes! That is alot of work! I ended up painting it with VHT engine paint.
