You dont get around this site much do you. Just about every person on here has done some mod to the air filter or intake all together.Hell Techsmurf has half his turbo settup from homedepot. As long as it fits with the hood closed and doesnt have air leaks your good.

Do

Do you have a ram air hood? If you don't, this is probably not the mod for you. If you havn't he hood, I'd suggest what brobert did.

Here's my thoughts. If you have the hood that this box is supposed to work with, then you can probably make the box fit well without too much trouble. Mounting it shouldn't be a problem and then all you have to do is hook it up to the TB. You don't even have to worry about a MAF.

A few of my intake connectors are home depot.. the rest of the intake is mandrel bent steel aircraft exhaust and aircraft turbo intake connectors.. it could be done entirely out of home depot parts, though.

The Trans AM hood isn't functional though, you'll have to cut it out and I believe the area that sucks air in is too small to really make a difference, but I'm not too sure about that last point.
