From my 1995 Full line sales brochure from Pontiac.
3.8 available in Jan 1995 (3.4 issued prior to...)
200HP at 5200RPM
220 foot pounds Torque at 4000 RPM
Came with AUTO ONLY & AC
No clue about later years & sticks.

same rating 95.5~02.

95.5 were auto only in Cali only. 96 saw the 3.4 replaced everywhere.

I JUST FOUND THAT LINE & IT'S CORRECT
CA/MASS REQUIRED 3.8 AUTO!
BUT DOUBT THAT you'd find a 1995 3.8 Firebird/Camaro w/stick.
Later on good probability.

cant find much on these motors at all. i have another camaro identical; to my heritage ima drop the v6 into.

idea is power to weight ration and also im thinking with the v8 suspension that it will absolutely fly around corners!!

is there a turbo kit or supercharger or any major peices to throw on these motors???

Yupe a centrifugal charger is made for the 3800. Thgey are pricey though, you're better off runnig juice for the price.

Tech is a mod over there too??? JK

I know of a carbed turbo 3.8 for sale $500, no turbo and [I think] right side exhaust manifold is gone as it had the turbo hookups.

hehehe. im sooo psyched about this project.... going to run the car with no interior, no dead weight up front, no ac,. it will be light, very light. going to try to find carbon fiber hood for it because ive seen them before. put this biotch on a diet! ohhh my..... id like to put the supercharger on it.. im expection that with computer tuning and a good exhaust i could put out like 220 hp and hopefully 240 tq. i've got the 4l60e to go with it infact i have a full wrecked 4thgen im pulling everything from.

You sure it's the 3800? Not all 95's came with the 3.8. Most had the 3.4.

positive. the big letters on the intake "3800" were a clue... ;>

i drove it in my back yard, cant get much of a feel since the car isnt even straight but it def had torque.. not bad for 100 bucks.. how much of a pain this is going to be to swap into the car is still making me antzy

since you have the donor car, pretty much drag & drop. new brackets & y-pipe. WIre it up & crank (yes, I've curtailed it a bit )

Just seen something interesting. Might be worth keeping in mind when look for parts cars.

"The earlier SC3800s such as mid 90's had a problem sucking in the blower to manifold gaskets."

"95 Riv...up to 110K w/ original S charger"

It does take work to use FWD parts but worth it if you find a SC3800 with running problems cheap.
