Finda way.
You'd be able to swap in this engine and then resell what ya got left over to recover majority of costs.
I sold my left over 3.4 parts on ebay for over $100 a while back. So can you!
Gaskets & such for swap is another $100.
Selling your core engine can net ya probably another $100.
Your cost outta pocket would be very fair!
Only would take time, space, planning.

i dont have much in the way of tools and such, no space and no one to really help me do it. and getting a shop to do it would be outrageous. its a bitch that i find a perfect low miles engine to dump in and cant afford it. especially since i only have one income coming in now

Tha tis Theee most awsomest price for a 3.4 I've seen in LONG TIME!!!!!!!!!!
looks vaguely familiar..........
I didn't have anybody help w/my 3.4 swap, and I did it all in a 1car garage*
* neighbors gone so I used their area for the cherry picker coming in sideways, but teh 3800 swap used an overhead hoist.

I did one all by myself. The Blazer project.
Hard part was only the recessed block plug for my use of the fan on switch. Rest is piece of cake & personal labor & some time.
Other one, Firebird, I did by "myself" with some help from a person not exactly right in his head at the time. That Firebird one was much harder!
You can accomplish this swap. Planning is the key.
I MADE MY OWN ENGINE STAND outta a grocery shopping cart! and some wood beams. When it was cherry picking time is when I "really attacked" the underside of engine for work.
A spare empty tire was a big assist, too.
These engines sit nicely in back of the Firebird, too. Removal from said vehicle required some assist.

unfortunately i live in a townhouse with no garage and a driveway that barely fits the two cars i have. i wish i could really get that damn engine to power up my bird, but hopefully ill get some money saved and can find another available. the good that also about that engine is sarasota florida is like a half hour from me. o well...
Like me, ya figure out a way to accompish a great goal.
With all those other goodies ya got, this is the best thing (3.4) ya can score for cheap.
I'll bet this sellers place would even allow ya space to do the swap boogie!

sorry, not my thread, but anyone in Michigan--I have a 3.4 with 250 miles on a rebuild in my camaro (1991) that I want to sell. Ran great till last week when it gave me 3 codes (egr, which I don't have, o2 sensor, and #44 i think.) good oil pressure, no smoke, still in car, ran strong (see above). Anyway, if anybody interested, i'd sell motor, trans (auto), fuel inj minus wiring harness plus a 3.1 with 173000 miles and misc. 3.4 parts for 600.00. maybe less
