The largest rear tire I ran was a P255/70r15 on 15x8 rims, with air shocks for clearance. That tire was 10.2" wide and 29" tall. I also had to take a sledge to the inner wheelwell on the drivers side, right behind the door, so they'd fit.

Now I run P245/60r15's for the rear, on the same 15x8 rims. They're 9.8" wide and 26.75" tall. Fronts are P225/60r15's on 15x7 rims (9" wide, 25.8" tall).

I put the cragars w/drag radials on my bird to see how it'd look. Th erear have 275/50R15 drag radials. It cleared, but I'd HIGHLY recomend to raise the rear or set it so it wouldn't compress/lower. the clearance to teh inner well is scary close.

there aint much room between the fender and internal wheel well. i checked clearance this weekend when i took the spring blocks out, i got about 1 1/2 inches on the fender and about 2 1/2 on the wheel well side. 275's are almost 12 inches wide. personally unless your name is doward, techsmurf, am91camaro, rftc, redraif,or about 3 other poeple in this forum(mine not included yet) you don't have enough power to warrent using that wide of a tire. i need a 265 on the track but that is cause i don't have posi and the limited slip works when it wants to, if it weren't for that i could use a set of 225's and still keep traction. when i am done then i will need a set of those 265's on the rear for street use and a set of drag radials for drag use. if all fails, i take the M/T's i got in the basement at home for the mustang, and change the rims and hammer some clearance out of the wheelwell in the camaro and slap them on. if i get them to spin, then i need help, cause they handle 875-900 hp on the mustang.

I have a set of KMC "Venom" 17X8 inch wheels on my '92 RS for almost 3 years. KMC actually listed them for Truck/SUV/RWD, but they look great on the Camaro. The fattest tires that I could fit into the wheel wells are P245-45-ZR17. This is my first try at pics, hope it works.
