Turbo'd 3.1
Ive always wanted a v8 but i hear that a turbo will make me a nice amount of power. right now i have a stock 3.1 in my 92 rs. I think installing a turbo should be easier than swapping the entire engine. also with a freshly rebuilt engine what kind of #'s would a turbo bring me. Im only looking for about 300 which seems reasonable. Does anyone have a turbo'd 3.1 that would share some info and pictures. Thanks in advance.

How difficult was it to install the turbo and the intercooler ? Is there a kit made for v6 thirdgens ? How much money are we looking at for all of this.

i like them both but trueleo is done and alan's isn't so i am getting the trueleo intake, and a ford 5.0 throttlebody to boot and some adapter wires to make it work. it may be a chevy at heart, but it's fed by ford!

doward if you can tell me the material, the surface finish, and the measurements you need, i can have you one by next week. i got carbon(different grades) stainless(300 series and 400 series) and some others like K Monel, and inconel and Monel. if monel wasn't so heavy, i would have the driveshaft on the mustang made out of it, cause of it's durability, but a tube 1/4" thich the lenght of the driveshaft would weigh almost 60# if not more!

No carb turbos... the bottom end can't handle it.
I laid down 222/291hp last time on the dyno, with a really bad tune..

I got an 88 camaro, so my 2.8 is MPFI. Im seriously considering in the near future, a bore stroke and boost. Is there a company that has like universal turbos? Or even kits, I mean I'd like some nice power here. Any suggestions with cam sizes, compression or heads? Truleo intake would be the best I would assume?

Doward sells turbo kits, soon he will be making plenums for stock/turbo engines. If you want to buy a intake buy his or alans not trueleo from what doward has told me. The melling mtc-5 is what cam doward has on his turbo'd engine, crane makes the powermax H260 which is for turbo 2.8,3.1,3.4.
