Since the guys over in the carb form really dont know anything about the v6 2bbl carb on these engines (they stated that when i posted a few questions on their board a few months ago, and they suggested asking my carb questions here ) anywho.. could some one please tell me what this screw is, (its located on the passanger side of the car looking in from the front)
and do i adjust it by feel or is there a procedure?

If it's the philips head slotted screw, it's an idle speed adjustment.

It's been a VERY long time since I messed with the 2SE carb, but I do believe that screw is idle adjustment.

The solenoid in the above pic is for high idle, or idle save, I dodn't remember what they called it. At some point it's supposed to hold the thottle open a bit to keep the engine from stalling.

You will only have a TPS if you have an E2SE carb, AKA "Feedback". I don't know about the F-bodies, but only the Cali emmisions S-series had the E2SE.

That's the idle stop solenoid. The TPS is on the other side of the carb. It's the connector with 3 wires. (The other blue 2-wire connector is the mixture control solenoid).

Thanks guys for the help

Is there any way to lean up the a/f mixture, on this carb? the hole car smells like gas, its running richer then a pig. i got the car to idle right, now it needs to be leaned up a bit... btw.. how should the gas be coming out of the carb (into the primaries) dripping or a steady stream?

You should'nt have to mess with any A/F adjustments (unless the carb needs a rebuild). The A/F is controlled by the MCS based on signals from the O2 sensor once the car is in closed loop. Make sure the MCS is working (listen for a clicking sound at the MCS when you first turn the key to on with engine off). If you just got this car I'd go ahead and replace the O2 sensor - it made a big difference in the "smell" on my '84.

Well you can lean it out by cutting the plugs out of the bottem, usually the idle mixture screws on these carbs have the base cut completely away after a rebuild so you can acces these. I'll see if I still have one of these carbs at work that has been modified for some pics. I suggest you find a real good carb guy and have it rebuilt since the fuel you describe isnt supposed to leak where you say it is. These carbs suck to work on and I should mention, NEVER EVER BUY A REBUILT ONE from any parts store.

hows it supposed to come out into the primaries (or what ever it is called when the fuel comes out of the venturi, and out of the bowls? so it can go into the intake and then into the cylnders?)

Ive had the car for about a year and 1/2 now, ive already replaced the O2 sensor with a bosh one (yea i know) i do hear a clicking when i turn on the ignition(its quite loud) ill have to narrow down where its coming from.
