What V6's came with forged piston's from factory?
Does anyone know what V6's came with forged pistons (3.1) in particular as I am building a twin turbo setup for my v6 and can't find solid info on it! Don't want to chang the pistons if I don't have to....Thanks!
Also will have pics soon on the one-off headers/turbo mount I'm building...

How many miles are on it. Ive heard that if you have a lot of miles its better to change them out...especially if youre running twins. I would change them just to be safe. Just my

Theis myth of low static compression needed for forced induction meeds to be stopped.
A higher compression enegin is more efficiant, revs quicker, making it nicer to drive, oh and it would also spool the turbo quicker.
From personal experiance I will build a higher SCR engine over a lower one, even when boost is concerned.
I have an 8.9:1 SCR engine in my Jimmy now with a turbo, if or when I put it back together, I will be using thinner head gaskets to bump the SCR to 9.3:1. If I really wanted to, I'd get new pistons to bump it to 9.6:1, but I already have the thinner head gaskstes.

Six_Shooter,
Have you done a cam swap with the motor in the car? The reason I'm going for forced induction is because I don't have the space to pull the motor in my garage now, otherwise I'd go with a V8, not to mention I like the idea of pulling away form a V8 with a 6. Thanx for the info on compression. When I do finally put forged pistons in, my plan is to have the heads worked @ Avalon Racing here in FL. First things first though, I'm ordering a turbo unit now and am building/designing some one-off headers for the 3.1. Have you dealt with a twin turbo set up before?
