3.1/3400 Hybrid Twin Turbo
Since the hybrid is almost finished, I'm thinking of building a 3.1/3400 hybrid and putting two turbos on it to see what happens.
My idea is while the 3.4/3500 is getting tuned/tested I can be working on the 3.1/3400 and have it with the turbos ready to bolt into the car. This way when the 3.4/3500 is pulled out to change the pistons for boost, the 3.1 can be dropped right in and be running in a couple of days.
This would be an almost free project since I already have a set of 3100 pistons, several sets of 3400 heads and manifolds and one of the turbos.
All the 3.1/3400 turbo parts can be transferred to the 3.4/3500 when 3400 pistons are installed.
The only parts I will need to buy to make this work (outise of the parts I already need for the 3.4/3500 anyways) is another turbo, 38mm WG, 3400 head gaskets, and materials to build N/A headers that can work on any 3x00 heads.
What do you think? Yes or no?
The 3.4 is getting boosted anyways, but this will give me a chance to develop and test a DIS kit for 3.1/2.8 peeps to make a hybrid swap easier.

The more options for V6 owners, the better! You may save one more V8 conversion from happening!

one request my V6 brother can you do a complete step by step for the turbo install like dave did? Im still debating over LS1/LT1 but your insane v6 work makes me look into a possible hybrid later

I did make a detailed thread in the power adder section for the first turbo kit I made (click here), then in the thread where I sold my kit and modified it for GrimmCS (click here).
You know I'll be showing pics you just have to read through all the replies to see the results.

Im kinda torn on this one. On one hand it would be a cool project to see...on the other hand it would take time/money away from your original project.
