performance setup idea

performance setup idea

i was playing around with desktop dyno and came up with a setup i like and was wondering what everbody thought of it

home made cold air intake (already have but looking to get a true one)
crane power max cam .454/.480 lift
roller tip rocker arms
pacesetter headers (ceramic coated)
dynomax ultraflow exhaust (already have)
high flow cailitic converter
3.73 posi gears

also deos anyone have a sugestion for a good engine rebuild/refesh kit

Get a rebuild kit from Northern Auto Parts. Or talk to your machine shop(mine was able to get prices better than anywhere else, with equal to or better parts).

Two questions. Are you putting in new gears or are you putting in a posi with new gears? And how are you going to route your "true' CAI? You getting the stock 2.8/TPI intake?

a posi with new gears and i was going to cruise the junk yard for one of those intakes yep

you cant use the TPI intake that was on the camaros. Hood clearance wont allow it. this was talked about a while back.

if money isnt an issue, go for it. personally i think thats all youre paying for. you can make one for a heck of a lot cheaper. do a search for it, youll find many people who have made them before, just as effective, 1/4 the price.

I'd say you're wasting your time with that cam. Try the 250801. And since you have a '730 ecm you can tune it without an ecm swap. A willems burner is just $40.
