Welcome back. I thought that car looked very familiar. Good to see you still have the Camaro. Now get it done and get some times

cars going for paint and a cage soon but i do plan on taking it out to the track one time first . gota check the weather but next friday looks liek the first outing to the track for the car
for those of u that are curios its 3.1 8.5-1 cr polished rods lightened crank, std pistions plasma moly rings, the heads are not hand ported, the heads are iron heads oversized stianless valves. the heads were cnc ported,we went as far as going into the water jackets,we actualyl had to cut them then weld them back up and recut them.the ports are massive.the ex side same thing they were ported out and are now d ports liek the late model fwd stuff.the manifold was give alot of attention as well.
the cam is actually a custom grind 268/272 adv duration int/ex

theres a reason i refuse to use the aluminum heads,2 actually the iron heads can be made to flow just as nice if ur willing to put int he time port and chamber wise.2 i dont trust those valve seats in the aluminum heads fer nothing. heat those heads up good once and detonate and u may just drop one
yup as said in the pm ima find out what happened to the stuff this week

I'm going 11.5:1scr and TT after the N/A testing is done.
That cam is not that big, mine is 301/305* adv duration and .485/.496 lift O.O.
According to calcs, Desktop Dyno, and Dynomation, I should be making 300bhp.

John, give Dave a chance man, I always felt him to be a stand up guy, even from the beginning. I, personally, only wrote what I did a few months back cuz a few of the guys that I know from NJFBOA kinda set me off....
Turbo setup came out pretty sweet Dave. I just checked out the video of it on youtube, nice. Am very curious to see what it will run over at Atco myself, so be sure to take some footage of it....

not its not that big at all but turbo motors dont need a really big cam, cams slightly bigger then a 260 grind and just a tad under the 272 mechanical grind

Re: its long from gone
Aluminium heads have been put through VERY stressful conditions and have not dropped the valve seat. 660 and other.
That's ok, you can waste your time on the iron heads and pathetic intake, the rest of us will drive circles around you with less effort time and money into our combinations, all while being more efficiant over all conditions.
