Question About Rocker Arms?

Ok so I have most of the parts list set for the 2.8 build, but I have a question about these rocker arms, http://store.summitracing.com/partde...1&autoview=sku there is a 1:6 ratio and a 1:52 ratio, what is the difference, which do I need?

Re: Question About Rocker Arms?

1.6 rockers will give you more lift in the valves. The stock ratio is 1.5 so the 1.52s reall won't give you much. Get the 1.6s.

the 1.6 rockers require fiero valve covers for clearance, just FYI

Re: Question About Rocker Arms?

hey im doing that in about 5 days haha when they come in haha. so was it worth it putting roller rockers and he pushrods in the 2.8 camaro? o and the valve covers work with the 1.6's fine i have heard. so you shouldnt have to worry about that. just check to make sure haha

Re: Question About Rocker Arms?

o and if you use comp cams magnum rocker arms with a 1.6 ratio it should have enough clearance. there pretty cheap to. runs you about 170 after shipping and also you get the roller rockers, and he pushrods so not to bad

Re: Question About Rocker Arms?

I'm running the 1.6 roller tip rockers right now. They don't hit the valve covers and I used the same pushrods that were in the car stock.

Re: Question About Rocker Arms?

i believe its a minor clearence issue and can be dealt with - ive seen - by cutting a bit of mdf ? or the like to use as a rocker cover spacer or maybe try to cork gaskets each side ??????
