wonderbar and lower radiator hose?

i put a wonder bar on my 92 tonight along with my new crosslaces, and the lower radiator hose and support bracket were really in the way, had to remove, re bend and reinstall the support brace. The brace is sitting right on the wonderbar, so nothing rubs the hose, but its still right there.

Haven't ever heard of this before? anybody else have this issue? is there a different lower hose i can use thats routed differently? maybe from an earlier car?

Re: wonderbar and lower radiator hose?

I had the same issue with a global west bar. I just smashed the hose up a bit and put on the wonderbar. Definitely in contact, but no issues so far.

No problem here with the Global West bar.

Re: wonderbar and lower radiator hose?

Put the wonderbar on this spring, had the same issue, just let the hose set on top of the bar.
Thinking about getting some big zip ties to make sure the hose doesn't move or rub too much.

Re: wonderbar and lower radiator hose?

Mine does the same- no issues though. It shouldn't matter that is just sits on top- it is just effectively resting on a frame member.

I did have an issue with my wire harness when I went to put the wonder bar in. Someone had zip tied the harness to the center link, so every time I turned the wheel, the harness was yanked back and forth!!
Amazing what passes for 'maintenance' with some people...

ok then, its not just me. thats good.

Im leaving it as it is, i still have the sheetmetal lower support for the hose installed and thats keeping the hose off the bar, hopefully it doesnt vibrate and rub off all the nice powdercoating

Re: wonderbar and lower radiator hose?

I'm using the wonder bar from TDS and I do not have that problem. The hose is close, but there is no contact.

this is a v6 car, the routing is different, and pretty stupid IMO.

Re: wonderbar and lower radiator hose?

True. I've never done the installation on a V6 car.
