$800 bucks?? not bad....who's your source???maybe they have some 3.4's. i guess i gotta stick with a V6. why, you ask??well:
1)i'm too poor to drive a V8
2)i'm too stupid to drive a V8
3)i'd probably kill myself and several others if i drove a V8.
well, i guess i gotta start lookin around again...grrrr

Eh... Minor details. I was planning on driving down and picking it up anyways. I need to go on a nice road trip.
Why the hell would you want to go to an LT1? Optispark is a PITA!!! I'd just get an L98 block, or an LS1 if you're going to do a V8 swap. Oh, well... It's your car.
Thanks for the heads up about this shipping issue, though.

Aren't there other sources for the 3.4 block? Or was this joint the cheapest?

TA Creations was the only place I could find on the internet that would ship a complete 3.4L engine. I'm sure you can find a junkyard with a V6 4th gen in it somewhere that has the 3.4L...
They're located in Florida, if I'm not mistaken.

all the junkyards i've been to have a million thirdgen's and zero forthgen's. plus i really don't want to pull an engine myself. hey Graeme, do you know anybody that works for GM?? guys at dealerships always have connections. this guy at my work hooked up 2 toyota engines for $300

But if GM actually sells the block, can't ya get it from them? Or one of those engine replacement places (altho I don't know what you'd do for a core price)?

I've got a 3.4 engine (complete) I'll get rid of...the only thing is that it's wrapped in the mint body of a '95 Camaro convertible.
If you want to come and steal the car, you are more than welcome. Just kidding.
3.4's are junk engines, I think that anyone who wants to swap one in should instead put a 3.1 in...but that's only 'cause I have one for sale...

What if you paid a shipping service to pick the motor up and bring it to you?
