Man oh Man! I love my V6 bird!
I have been driving it all week in North Carolina, put over 400 miles on the car. Its been sunny with an average around 75* so the t-tops were out everyday! I spent most of my time cruising back roads deep in the country. The sights were amazing! But the real fun was being able to gas it around the curves. as we all know a stock 3.1 isn't to fast, or quick, but when it comes to handling this thing can grip grip grip! at first the car seemed a bit free in the corners to me but once i got used to it, i was along for the ride! I even hit one somewhat sharp curve that had a bump in the middle of the turn(Apparently i couldnt see it or i would have slowed down). when the car hit the bump the right side tires hopped off the ground, but it quickly planted once again and kept on! It was amazing! And this is without suspension upgrades! I'm so ready for summer to get here I just may go touring cross country!
Lets hear some of you all's stories!
edit: I also want to thank you guys at thirdgen.org for helping me get this fbird ready! thanks alot guys! I love it!

Good to hear your story guy! I'm still waiting to wake my Bird from her long slumber (In the garage since Oct!) It's been a bad winter here in the U.K. and they're still putting salt on the roads so my car's away for a little while yet.
To be sure though, nothing beats driving a big Firebird over here in England during the summer. Many people want to know what it is and you always get positive comments, as they are so rare over here.
Hopefully we'll get a good summer for a change and who know's I might get her over a thousand miles this year!
Speed.

I like the 2.8 camaro myself...shoot I'd kept the motor if there were more aftermarket performance parts (heads...intake...etc)

I know what you mean by grip grip grip
I put firestone firehawk gt tires on last fall along with monroe sensa-trac shocks and struts and I would almost swear it was un breakable, I put it into a right corner at 45 mph and she didn't slide at all. Haha it scared the s*** out of my passenger but he calmed down later...

I can't wait to get mine back on the road either. I bought my 91 Firebird V6 as a project car and got the engine and trany rebuilt. The post in this forum realy helped me alot. I just made a stupid mistake when hooking all the wires up and grounded something I wasn't supost to. I should have ask the question on here before hooking the battery up. I'm sure somebody would have had the answer. Hine site 20/20. But I can't wait to be cursing the roads in it.

Grip, grip, grip!!!!

And my 2.8 isnt too shabby!
Im thinking of actually putting a new "Air Pipe" and "Check valve" back on, since mine has nice power with it blocked off (i sealed the vacuum leak it had to be actually blocked off) but my gas mileage S***S!
