Do you want your fbody to be tighter?

Then install weld-on SFCs. I just installed mines and they stiffened the car structure by 150% or more

Now when I run over railroads crossings, I car feel the suspension to work and no more the body flexing

Just need to share this with you!

do our bodys really flex that bad? I havent had the luxury of driving one of these yet, soon tho! may 13th baby! back on subject, how much does it cost to get them welded on? im only making 5.25 now (7 when i turn 16) so i get about 100-150 bucks to spend on the car every 2 weeks, u figure 100 for the SFC, but how much to get it installed? could a new car body shop do it?

thanks

Kenny brown DD sfcs are 249$ and it cost me 60$ to make them weld.

But that mod is worth every penny

Yeah, they flex like mad. I've heard of thirdgens who once they put on a solid set of SFC's, going up their driveway, one wheel will come off the ground all of a sudden, because they are that much stiffer.

Mine is day and night different with the SFCs

And as you all know the 4th gen are somewhat stiffer than the 3rd gen so that should make an even greater improvement on the 3rd gen!

That was the best mod that I have ever made to my Camaro. I would almost deem them a necessity. Be careful if you have any custom exhaust work though, because I had to have my Y-pipe custom made to go from my headers and still fit around the Subframes. BTW, I have the South-side machine shop subframes, and they are fantastic. I paid $100 for mine and another $150 to get them put on. Great deal.

How good are bolt ons versus welded ones?? I was gonna do them for the RS 1st, and the Z down the road...but I wanted to do them myself. Are bolt ons a significant enough improvement??

Well the bolt ins do the same thing, but they will not have a rigid mount like that of the welded ones. This inturn will diminish the results of installing them a little bit, but they will be a major improvemnet.
