Got my car back

800 bucks later, shes done. I cant believe the things some mechanics do. I was there when the pulled the bottom intake, nasty stuff. Someone used silicone to fill in for the broken gasket, missing like 5 gaskets along the intake, etc. Got my speedo working again with a new vss and gears. Now one question...they replaced some o-rings on the injectors, and now my gas mileage has gone through the roof...normal driving my needle is barley moving, where before the same amount of driving would have used 1/4 tank. Can someone explain how the 2 things did this?

Besides the injector o-rings, you could've had a ton of vaccum leaks where the previous guy screwed up the intake gaskets. Congrats on getting the car back!

Good to hear your car is back, and running better than ever.

A little off the topic, I notice you have 1.6 rockers, did you pick up an noticable gain in hp on them. I am thinking about a set. But I searched old threads and they said don't do it unless you get a Crane compucam, and/or new valve springs. Do you have new springs or a cam, or just put them straight in?

I read somewheres you have to get new valve covers because the roller rockers won't fit underneath, or did you just put them straight in...no Valve cover change?

i think they would do it all the time if it was the rockers. i mean it would sound like a "rap rap rap rap rap rap rap" cause it would always have the same lift.
