what just happened?!?!

ok i'm driving down the road doin a quick 10-50 out of a turn and all the sudden i hear this really loud hissing sound like a got a hole in my tire so i decide i need to pull off onto the nearest side road but before i could this load vibrating sound accompinies the hissing sound so i finally pull off and stop and both sounds stop.????? so i get out and look over everything and see nothing wrong, so i get back in and start driving again and the hissing stops but the vibrating sound comes back so i check again, nothing, get back in it happens again, check, nothing, kick the tire, get back in and it stops, i dont know what it was but if someone does i would be so greatfull. I dont know what i did when i kicked the tire but it stoped. I dont know what it was but it sure didnt sound good, oh ya and it was coming from the back end. Anybody?? I cant have anything happen today, i gotta drag tonight.

Maybe your spare tire blew!

Or your air seat has severely malfunctioned and is in a freakish berserk mode.

This ones a brain teaser. Whats pressurised, hmm tires, AC, coolant, fuel and I guess you'd know by the cigarette burns on your face if the air bag went off, ehhhh?

A flat or low tire could cause vibration. You might have the stuff that stops flat tires by sealing from the inside out. That must be it. While driving there is a hiss, makes sense cause theres more forces acting on the tire. When you stop, no hiss, a small leak or a big leak fixed by the mentioedn chemicals would act like this.

This hurt me brain. And I'm gonna be thinking about all day....

I bet that once your tires are cooled down they'll look alot flater, due to a leak and the coefficent of expansion.

I could be up my own A$$

Could you have busted a shock somehow on that high-speed turn?

My thinking.
You grabbed something on the body, from the road.
It stuck to the wheel, also.
It was a scrapping sound, not a hiss, but, that's what it sounded like.
Then it fell off. Something is on the inside of the wheels, throwing off the balance.
I had this happen in my 1974 Corvette. Christmas day drive, lovely day, all the sudden, I hear this noise.
It wasn't a good sound.
I stop. It stops. I start, it starts again.
Oh $hit, yep, I need to spend dollars.....
It was a strong dead tree branch I caught under carriage.
I removed it and had a very good Christmas Present that moment, I was able to enjoy the rest of my ride thru the Hills of Malibu.

That may be your problem. If the hiss went away what ever it was, is gone.
Road debris makes lots of sounds on a car.
So does a bag caught under the car, too.

WHAT SPEED IS THE VIBRATION AT?
Is it constant?

the vibration was whenever i started going again, the hissing sound stopped after the first time i stopped. The vibration stopped after awhile but i just hope it wasnt the start of a problem.
