Eventually my goal is:
Small block 400 with 400HP
Turbo 400 Tranny
3.90 rear gears
Current plans include NOS and a few other things for a V6.. So one day someone will get this nice tricked out 2.8...

For the money you spend to do nitrous the right way, you could have a tpi 350. All you have to do is go to a junk yard with a computer connection, have them order you up a tpi 350 engine/transmission combo (run about 1500)and a stock driveshaft. Do a little engine pulling, do a little wiring, a little coolant, some gaskets, some oil, a few sensors, some exhaust work, and four months later, you have a low 14 second car on your hands.
I've got a Formula 350 TPI, A4, T-tops, 14.5, and with a little work I could hit 13's.
I WOULD PROBABLY TRADE IT BACK FOR MY GOOD OLD V6.
Don't get me wrong, the Formie kicks @$$, but the V6 had character.

dads project: turbo a v6 & get it to work.
dad & sons project: remove blown up 6 out of car, finish up dads poncho 400, add 200-4r trany & go.
ive had 4bangers, had a real 8 in the old T/A (307 in regal really don't count). 6 is something new, a challenge. (6 in blazer don't count either, too much $hit inthe engine bay to mess with)

Well, i'm huge on classic cars so in the future i will definately own a v8 car if not multiple v8 cars. But i wouldn't want to put a v8 inside of my firebird, the cars just good enough how it is, although the HP numbers aren't really there, she's good enough to drive around town, still looks beautiful and so on, souldn't trade her for the world.
What I looked in for NOS would cost me about 475-550. I would run 50-75-90 Shot. I could alwauys take it to my V8 when I was done with the V6... I also have alwyas wanted NOS.. I want to see 90HP rip the car down the strip and shock some old mustang gt...

oh heck no, you can keep your v8,
now i do question those who go for a v6 auto but any v6 stick is fun too drive, you can still kick butt and they sips gas insted of gulping it.

Money...Sure if we had the money to blow we would probably look at the eights...(Minus the V-6 Turbo guys
)
But right now we don't so we have the V-6, a respectible car, modifications is what were about. You have to give us credit, and to tell you the truth I love my V-6, its fun to toy with. So a V-8 isn't everything...

Do I want a V8, h*ll yes. I'd settle for a 305 carbed if I could. I'm planning on finishing up my V6 and selling it for a V8 Iroc or Trans Am. That grumble is as monkie says, music to the ears.

Qoute: Monkie- A 350 is music to the ears. Nothing else like it.
I've heard twin inboard 502's, that was music to my ears.
